Free Hugs

If you were walking down the street and there was a young man or woman with a large sign that said Free Hugs....would you?

I don't know how I would respond. Physical contact with total strangers is not on my favorite things to do list. But I might stop and talk with them. I might cheer them on, or ask why they were doing what they were.

It was just on the news, and as I listened, I smiled. Its one of those random acts kind of thing. They ended the newsbyte with the fact that the police tried to remove one young man. Thousands of petition signatures kept that from happening.

Good on the huggers and those who supported them. Don't our police have more important things to do with their time than to persecute huggers?
