I was driving to work.
Stopped at the Cafe to see what they needed, get my coffee.
Went down to the kitchen.
Heard some commotion on the radio, but I couldnt decipher it.
Fire, plane crash, something weird, but something major.
Got to the kitchen, asked Politician friend what she had heard and she was in the dark as much as I.
Neighboring businesses, people outside talking about the horrible fire in New York.
Finally got the radio tuned to something that would tell us something. OMG
A second plane crashes into the towers.
What is happening.....?

The day is much a blur. We had lunch, watching television on the tv at a local tavern.
Much of the world, silently watching their televisions in shock and horror.
Days of horror, sadness, confusion, heros, tears.

And still we mourn.

as a canadian, i also feel the pain of my american neighbours and friends, both at the time of this dreadful attack of sheer terorism, and in the years following. i had the priveledge of tuning into the program "the path to 9-11". it sure told alot. and i can see why you (as a country) get so upset with your gov't. useless boobs. anyway. i have read many of the tribute pages on blogger pages (2,996 bloggers) and putting faces to the names really brings the reality home for me, at least.
i enjoy your page and have added you to my blog roll. come by anytime. poet
